## About ClipUtils

Clip Utils is a free collection of video, audio and photo tools that run in the browser. Its AI tools can remove background music from a video while keeping the voice, generate subtitles from speech and export them as SRT or VTT, translate subtitles, and dub a video into languages such as English, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and German. Non-AI tools cover trimming, compressing to a target size, converting between formats such as MOV, WebM, MKV and MP4, extracting audio, cutting and converting audio, removing video audio, increasing volume, converting HEIC and other images, compressing and resizing images, and making passport photos.

The site says processing happens on the user's device using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, so files are not uploaded to Clip Utils servers for conversion. MacFader is a Mac utility that turns the edges and corners of your trackpad into controls. Each edge can adjust volume, brightness, keyboard light, microphone level or seeking through video and music, and the top and bottom edges can also skip tracks. Each of the four corners can run one of fifteen actions, including screen lock, Mission Control, screenshots, play or pause, and your own keyboard shortcuts or key combinations.

You can give any app its own setup. For example, a bottom edge can seek with Spotify's keys while Spotify is in front, or MacFader can be turned off while you play games or work in drawing apps. A brightness mode lets the left edge change only the screen under your pointer when you have more than one display. Switching between your last two apps by sliding is also available.
