# Sendy

> Transactional email for developers, sent from your own verified domain

Sendy is a transactional email service for applications. It sends password resets, receipts and notifications from a domain you verify, through an HTTP API or SMTP. Managed queuing and automatic retries handle temporary sending failures, and delivery feedback shows sending attempts, reports and bounces.

Setup starts with verifying a domain you control. The dashboard guides you through the DNS records for DKIM, SPF and DMARC, then you create an API key and submit emails as JSON. Idempotency keys help prevent duplicate messages when your app retries a request.

Credits are bought as one-off top-ups from Ksh 50 at Ksh 50 per 1,000 emails, with no subscription and no expiry on purchased credits. Each account gets 50 test emails once after DNS verification. Online M-Pesa checkout is coming soon, so top-ups are arranged through support for now.
