Taskglass is a native macOS app that shows which app is slowing, heating or draining your Mac, and explains why in plain English. It runs on macOS 14 or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, and groups helper processes under the app that launched them.

It tracks CPU, memory pressure, temperature, fan speed and power, and keeps 30 days of history so you can look back at a slow or hot moment. On Apple Silicon it reports each app's energy use in watts, and it can alert you when an app runs away with CPU, memory or heat.

It is a one-time purchase, currently $5 during launch, and one license covers up to three Macs. A 30-day money-back guarantee applies. There is no account and no analytics, and the app only connects to the internet to activate a license and check for updates.
