Privacy policy

What ProductsFarm collects, why, who else handles it and how to get it deleted. We keep only what the site needs to run.

Who we are

ProductsFarm (productsfarm.com) is run by Rohan Gotwal in India, who is responsible for your personal data on this site. In this policy, "we" means Rohan Gotwal. For any privacy question or request, email kanisshka12@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you sign in

With Google: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We never see your Google password.
With an email link: your email address.

What you add

Your profile: username, name, bio, website, social links, country and the other details you choose to fill in.
Product listings: the details, images and links you submit, and the launch week you book.
Your votes and comments.

When you use the site

Views of product pages and clicks through to product websites. We store the product, whether it was a view or a click, the domain of the site that sent you and whether you came from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT. To count each visit once, we also store a one-way hash of your IP address, browser details, the product and a 30-minute time slot. We don't store your IP address or browser details with these counts.
Records of requests per IP address or account, kept for up to two days to stop spam and abuse.
Standard request logs, including IP addresses, which our hosting provider keeps for a short time for security and debugging.

When you pay

Dodo Payments handles Premium payments and collects your card and billing details. We receive the payment ID, amount, currency, status and which listing it was for. We never see your card number.

How we use it

To run your account and show your profile, listings, votes and comments.
To count votes and rank launches under the published ranking rules.
To show makers how many views and clicks their products get.
To draft launch pages. When you paste a website, we read that site's public pages and send their text to Anthropic's Claude to write a draft. We send the site's content, not your personal data.
To take Premium payments and give refunds.
To stop spam, fake accounts and vote manipulation, and to keep the site secure.
To send sign-in links. We don't send newsletters or marketing email without asking you first.

We don't sell your personal data, show ads or use advertising trackers.

What's public

Your profile page: username, name, picture, bio and the links and details you add.
Products you made, once approved, with you listed as a maker.
Your comments, with your name and picture.
Vote totals for each launch. We don't show who voted for what.

Public pages can be indexed by search engines and read by AI assistants. That is part of what ProductsFarm is for.

Who else handles it

These services handle data for us, each only for its own job:

Supabase: our database and sign-in. Data is stored in the EU (Ireland).
Vercel: hosts the site.
Anthropic: drafts launch pages from the website you paste.
Dodo Payments: processes Premium payments as the merchant of record.
Google sign-in: only if you sign in with Google.
Google's favicon service: your browser loads product icons from Google, including the icon of a website you type into a launch box, so Google sees your IP address and which icons load.

Some of them process data outside India and the EU, including in the United States. We also share information when the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud or harm.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.
While you prepare a launch, your unsent draft is saved in your browser's local storage so you don't lose it. It stays on your device and is cleared when you launch, or after a week.

How long we keep it

Your account, profile, listings, votes and comments: until you delete them or your account.
Deleted comments disappear from the site right away. We keep their text until your account is deleted, so we can handle abuse reports.
Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted.
Records of requests per IP address or account: two days.
View and click counts: kept as statistics for each product. They don't identify you.

Your choices and rights

Edit your profile at any time in settings, and delete your own comments.
To get a copy of your data, correct it or delete your account, email kanisshka12@gmail.com from the address you sign in with. Deleting your account removes your profile, listings, votes and comments. We reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU and UK GDPR, you can also object to or limit how we use your data, withdraw consent, and complain to your data protection authority.

Age

You must be at least 18 to create an account. If you think someone younger has signed up, email kanisshka12@gmail.com and we'll delete the account.

Changes
