How launches and ranking work

• A launch week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 UTC. A new weekly board opens every Monday at midnight UTC.
• Makers pick any week with an open slot, from the current week up to 8 weeks ahead.
• Each week has 25 free slots and 10 premium slots, counted separately.
• A launch that joins the current week still ends on Sunday.
• Every product is reviewed before it goes live. Only approved products appear on boards and pages.
• A product can relaunch 4 weeks after its last launch week, for a big update or just to reach more people. Each launch competes on its own week's board, marked as a relaunch.

• You need an account to vote. Open a product's page before you upvote it; after that you can upvote it from the lists too.
• One vote per account per launch. You can take your vote back while the week is live.
• Voting is open all week, from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 UTC.
• You can't vote for your own product.
• Each account can cast up to 20 votes a minute, and votes from one network are rate limited too.
• Votes are weighted by the age of the voter's account. The weight is set when the vote is cast.

For the first 24 hours of each launch week (until Tuesday 00:00 UTC), vote counts are hidden and the board order is shuffled. Every launch gets a fair first look, whatever time zone its makers are in. After that, counts show and the board sorts by rank.

• Launches rank by score: the sum of their vote weights.
• Ties go to the launch with more votes, counted without weights. If still tied, the launch booked first ranks higher.
• When the week closes on Monday at 00:00 UTC, final ranks are locked.
• The top 3 launches of each week and of each month win awards.
• Monthly awards cover the launch weeks that start in that month and compare each launch's weekly score. A launch needs at least one vote to win an award.

• Premium listings: a one-time $10 payment gets a highlighted listing and a do-follow link.
• We review every site before it gets a do-follow link and withhold it from sites we don't trust, such as spammy, thin or misleading ones. Those listings link with nofollow, and a Premium payment is refunded in full.
• Free listings always link to their website with rel="nofollow".
• Links to products carry UTM tags (utm_source=productsfarm), so makers can see the visits we send.

• Spam, and listings made only for the backlink
• Scams, malware and phishing
• Adult content
• Products you don't own or work on
• Broken or unreachable sites
• Duplicate domains: each domain gets one product page

Premium buys a highlighted mark and, for sites that pass review, a do-follow link. It never adds votes, changes vote weights or moves a product up the board. Free and premium launches compete on the same weekly board, ranked by the same score.
