FlowDock is a Mac app that lets you save the apps, websites, and folders you use for a particular kind of work as a workspace. Launching a workspace opens everything in it together, so you do not have to reopen each item one by one when you are ready to start.
Each workspace can hold a mix of applications, URLs and folders. The site shows example setups such as a development workspace with a code editor, terminal, documentation site and project folder, or a research workspace with a reader, notes, reference sites and documents. You can switch between workspaces with Quick Switch, opened with Command K, and jump to a workspace by number with Command 1 through Command 9.
FlowDock is aimed at people who move between different kinds of work on a Mac and want their setup ready at the start of each session. The free plan includes three workspaces with up to five resources in each. The Pro plan removes those limits. The site lists workspace snapshots, window restoration and smart automation as coming soon.
