FIRE Calculator is a free web tool for planning financial independence and early retirement. Enter monthly retirement expenses, your invested portfolio, monthly contributions and assumptions for returns and inflation to estimate a FIRE number: annual expenses divided by a chosen withdrawal rate, adjusted for inflation up to your target age.
An optional Monte Carlo simulation runs random market paths with varying returns and withdrawals, showing percentile charts and a downloadable CSV. The planner also estimates a financial independence age and the starting monthly investment needed. Users can pick one of 25 currencies.
It suits people comparing early retirement scenarios and withdrawal rates such as 3%, 3.5% and 4%. Taxes, fees, pensions and local account rules are not modelled, so results are planning estimates, not guarantees.
