Cascadehook is a service for sending webhook events from your product to your customers' endpoints without building the delivery infrastructure yourself. Your application publishes an event through an API call with a project API key, and Cascadehook delivers it to every endpoint subscribed to that event type.
Each outgoing webhook is signed with HMAC, so the receiving system can verify that the request came from you before it parses the body. When an endpoint responds with a temporary failure, such as a timeout or a retryable error, Cascadehook reschedules the delivery automatically with backoff and jitter, and it respects Retry-After headers when they are sent. Every attempt is recorded with its status and duration, so you can inspect what happened and replay a delivery once the endpoint is ready.
The product suits development teams that need to notify customers or internal systems of events such as invoice payments, and that would rather not maintain their own queues, retry logic, signing and delivery logs. An Idempotency-Key header can be supplied with each event request, and the site includes a quickstart and a receiver guide for connecting an endpoint.
