Portlivo is a native macOS menu bar app that lists every process listening on a local TCP port and groups each one by its project, command, PID and uptime. It recognises common tools such as Vite, Laravel, Next.js, Nuxt, Rails, Django, Go, Docker containers and Homebrew services like PostgreSQL and Redis, and anything it does not recognise still appears under its process name. From the menu bar or a separate window you can open, copy, restart, kill, tail logs for, watch or share a server with a single click. Portlivo also checks the health of web servers, shows live CPU and memory use, and offers to kill a conflicting process when a dev server reports that an address is already in use.
The app can start a saved stack of commands for a project folder, and it can share a local server with a phone on the same Wi-Fi network or through a cloudflared or ngrok tunnel. It includes a devports command-line tool so that ports can be listed, stopped and opened from a terminal. Portlivo runs on macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs, and it needs no account and no special permissions beyond optional notifications.
It is aimed at developers who run several local servers at once and want to see what is using a port without typing lsof and kill commands by hand. Pricing is free for seven days, then a one-time license with free updates, with multi-Mac keys available.
